One Aucklander's afternoon craving turned into the treat of a lifetime.
An anonymous Auckland woman landed a sweet deal when a post-work pick-me-up resulted in a $1 million windfall. After picking up a bag of her favourite marshmallow lollies from the local dairy, the woman decided to purchase a $15 Cash Spectacular Instant Kiwi.
Later that evening, she sat down with a cup of tea and decided to scratch her ticket.

"I couldn't believe it when I saw the number 56 matched up - my heart was thumping. I didn't even read the ticket properly, I just knew I had won a big prize and jumped straight back in the car," she explained.
The woman was convinced she was $100,000 richer - but a quick check at the dairy confirmed she was officially a millionaire.
"It was so unbelievable, I wish I could relive that moment all over again. The people in the shop were so excited for me. There were hugs and tears all around," she recalled.
She celebrated at home with her partner and a glass of wine before sharing the news with her children.
"I sent a photo of the little slip of paper showing how much I'd won, next to my jar of lollies. My kids couldn't believe it... they were completely over the moon.
"They know how much I love lollies - we never imagined they'd lead to something quite so life-changing though!"
With her bank account now $1 million richer, the woman is deciding what's next for her and her family - but is enjoying the thrill of checking her new balance.
"It's come at the perfect time. It's really going to set me up for the future," she said.
The winning $15 Cash Spectacular Instant Kiwi ticket was sold at the Harris Road Superette in Mount Wellington.
