Lotto: Powerball jackpots to over $40 million after no one scores big

Another draw, and another rollover.

No one has won the massive $35 million Lotto Powerball on Saturday, meaning the mind-boggling amount of money up for grabs will instead jackpot again. It's now risen to over $40 million for next Wednesday's draw.

Tonight's numbers were 8, 15, 22, 36, 39, and 40. The Powerball was 10 and the Bonus Ball was 31.

While no one took out the big prize, two people took out Lotto Division 1, each taking home $500,000. Two people also won $200,000 through Strike Four.

The last time the Powerball jackpot was struck was December 28 last year. That winner took three weeks to come forward to claim their riches, saying they "needed some time to process things".

The largest win in the country's history was in 2016, when a young couple from the Hibiscus Coast bagged a cool $44 million.
