Two Kiwis are $500,000 richer after Wednesday's Lotto draw.

Although the Powerball jackpot went unclaimed, two people split the first division prize in the regular draw, sharing $1 million between them

Twelve people also won around $1400 in division two.

Last month, Lotto Powerball reached a staggering $50 million, the highest prize ever in the the game's history here.

The prize became a must-win after the jackpot went unclaimed for a number of weeks.

More than 2.3 million tickets were sold for the draw, about 2300 every minute.

The prize was won by two people from Auckland, who walked away with $25,111,111 each.
