The lucky player is from the Manawatu/Whanganui region and bought their ticket online - the only way to play during the current restrictions.

A lucky Waikato Strike player is $1 million richer after taking out Saturday night's Strike must-be-won draw. 

The winning Strike ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Waikato. 

Another four gamblers won $200,000 each by taking out first division - from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
