Lotto: Hamilton player overnight millionaire after hitting Strike jackpot

It will be a weekend to remember for one lucky Lotto player, who has become an overnight millionaire.

The winner will be waking up to a cool $1 million after hitting the Strike jackpot in Saturday's draw.

The lucky ticket - which needed the numbers 31, 29, 4 and 35 in that order - was purchased at Glenview Food Centre in Hamilton.

Two other players in Whakatane and Christchurch are pocketing $500,000 each after taking out Lotto's first division.

There were no Powerball winners this week, with Saturday's $6 million Powerball jackpot rolling over to Wednesday night, with $7 million up for grabs.

An Auckland Lotto player also added a healthy $1 million boost to their bank account following Wednesday's draw after taking out Lotto's first division.

Saturday's winning numbers were 4, 8, 20, 29, 31 and 35. The Powerball was 4, while the Bonus ball was 19.
