It's going to be a Mother's Day to remember for a lucky Auckland Lotto player who has scooped $12.3 million in Saturday night's Powerball draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Hylite Dairy in Grey Lynn, Auckland. It's made up for $12 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

They are the 10th Powerball winner of the year and it comes just three weeks after a player snatched $14.25 million with Powerball First Division.

Two other players - from Auckland and Christchurch - each take home $333,333.

"Strike Four was also won tonight by two players from Auckland and Christchurch, who each took home $100,000. The winning Strike tickets were sold at Hornby Mall Lotto in Christchurch and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland," Lotto says.

"Meanwhile, in Lotto NZ's popular Mother's Day Triple Dip promotion, 105 extra prizes were up for grabs including 5x Mercedes-Benz A-Class cars and 100x prizes of $5,000 cash."
