Lotto: Lucky Otago player bags $1 million prize, 11 win second division

An Otago Lotto player is $1 million richer after winning the first division prize on Wednesday night.

The winning ticket was sold on the MyLotto app.

Powerball wasn't struck and will roll over to $17 million for Saturday night's draw.

Eleven other players claimed prizes in the second division - winning $22,957 each.

Two players from Auckland and Tasman will also be enjoying their Wednesday night after winning $31,253 in Powerball's second division.

The winning tickets were sold at Fresh Choice Mangere Bridge and on MyLotto.

A player from the Waikato town of Tuakau will be rejoicing after winning $200,000 in Strike Four. That winning ticket was sold at Supervalue in Tuakau.

Live Lotto draws are currently not taking place due to red COVID-19 restrictions and are instead performing computer-generated draws.
