Lotto: Auckland player wins $6.3 million, another punter claims $1 million – where the winning tickets were sold

A lucky Auckland Lotto player will be toasting a special win after winning $6.3 million with Powerball First Division on Saturday night.  

The prize is made up of $6 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division. The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland. 

The winning numbers were 2, 14, 22, 24, 35 and 26. The bonus ball was 09 and powerball was 6.  

Saturday night's winner is the fifteenth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023, and the win comes just over a week after a $4.5 million Powerball prize was won by an Auckland couple. 

One lucky Strike player from Auckland will also be celebrating after winning $1 million in Saturday's Must Be Won draw. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Xpress Mart in Auckland. 

Meanwhile, eight lucky players will be dancing in their living rooms after each winning $33,559 with Lotto Second Division on Saturday night.   

Two lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $42,165. 

The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Paper Plus Meadowbank in Auckland and Pak n Save Tauriko in Tauranga. The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Auckland, Tauranga, Ōtaki and Wellington.

Rounding out Saturday night's winners, two other Lotto players won $333,333 with Lotto First Division. The winning tickets were sold on MyLotto to players from Palmerston North and Wellington. 

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
