A lucky Lotto player from Lower Hutt will be feeling on top of the world after winning $24.25 million with Powerball First Division on Saturday night.
The winning numbers were 28, 34, 25, 38, 36 and 5. The bonus ball was 15 and Powerball was 1.
The winning ticket was sold at Woolworths Wainuiomata in Lower Hutt.
The prize is made up of $24 million from Powerball First Division and $250,000 from Lotto First Division.
Saturday night's winner is the twelfth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2023, and the win comes just over a month after a $10.3 million Powerball prize was won by a player from Wairoa.
Three other lucky Lotto players will also be celebrating after winning $250,000 with Lotto First Division on Saturday night. The winning tickets were sold on MyLotto to two players from Auckland and one player from Hamilton.
A lucky Strike player will also be celebrating after winning $500,000 with Strike Four on Saturday night. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Halfway Store in Whakatāne.
Meanwhile, 26 lucky players will be enjoying a boost to their bank account after each winning $15,527 with Lotto Second Division on Saturday night.
Three lucky players also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $24,835.
The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Amigo’s Dairy, Stationery & Lotto in Auckland and on MyLotto to players from Queenstown Lakes and Ashburton. The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores in Whangārei, Dargaville, Auckland, Whakatāne, Te Awamutu, Taupō, New Plymouth, Hastings, Palmerston North, Woodville, Marton, Paraparaumu, Upper Hutt, Christchurch, Ashburton, Twizel, Oamaru, Queenstown Lakes, Balclutha and Gore.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores or on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
