Fire crews are battling a house fire on Hillsborough Rd in Auckland.
They were called to the single-level dwelling between Carr Rd and the Southwestern Motorway just before 5am today.
The blaze was well-engulfed when they arrive and firefighters are still at the scene.
"We have hoses running across the road so that will slow down the traffic. Travellers on their way to work or home, if they could avoid that area, find an alternative direction that would be great," says fire communications manager Dallas Ramsay.
It is not believed anyone is inside the property.
