Fonterra's first chief and one of its key founding figures will be laid to rest in Taranaki.
Craig Norgate, 50, suddenly collapsed and died in London on July 7.
Mr Norgate was one of the central figures involved in the creation of what is now Fonterra, overseeing the merger between Kiwi Dairy, NZ Dairy Group and the New Zealand Dairy Board in 2001.
He went on to become the Fonterra's first chief until his departure in 2003 and took the reins at the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2012, overseeing its merger into Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
Despite a huge reputation in business, the father of three frequently described himself as a "Naki boy".
His funeral will take place in Hawera this afternoon.
