A woman and her baby have been seriously injured in a two-car crash in south Auckland last night.
Police say the woman was backing out of a driveway in Mangere when her car was struck by a passing vehicle.
"The speed is unknown but alcohol is possibly a factor here so the clear message is that alcohol and driving don't mix," says Senior Sergeant John Yearbury.
The male driver of the other car is said to be in a moderate condition.
