Nelson police have arrested a 79-year-old man in relation to a solvent attack on a local homeless man.
Lewis Stanton, also known as Hone Ma Heke, suffered burns to his mouth and throat in the attack outside the city council offices.
The arrested man has been charged with assault and will reappear in court at the end of the month.
