An examination of the scene at a central Auckland park where a 21-year-old man was fatally shot by police on Sunday night has been completed.
Slovakian national David Cerven was shot by police at Myers Parks after he indicated to officers he was about to use a firearm.
Superintendent Richard Chambers says police are not in a position yet to disclose what evidence was found at the scene.
"Interviews with key witnesses need to be completed and I hope to be able to share further information once these have been done," he says.
Police have not yet confirmed if Cerven was actually armed.
