An "urgent and collective" response to the Syrian refugee crisis will be called for at a combined media conference with the Catholic and Anglican churches this morning.
Cardinal John Dew and Archbishop Philip Richardson will be hosting the conference which will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Wellington.
