A Whangamata woman who went missing in a distressed state overnight has returned to her home this morning.
Police had say Wendy Grylls, 64, returned "safe and well" to her home at 8am.
A search team was sent out for the woman after police expressed fears for her safety due to her state of mind.
Police have thanked the public and search volunteers for helping to find the woman.
