A wanted man who has been on the run for nearly a month after a police shooting in Motueka has been found and arrested.
Jahdai Kennard, 28, had been wanted since August 24 after he failed to appear in court on assault charges and for breaching his bail conditions.
He was also wanted in connection to the police shooting of Ford Hurinui in Motueka on August 20.
Police say he was the driver of the car Hurinui was in during a high-speed chase before the shooting.
Kennard ran from the scene during the stand-off.
He was found at a Riwaka property today and arrested without incident.
Kennard has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, dangerous driving and breaching a protection order.
He will appear in Nelson District Court tomorrow.
