A small ferry in Auckland's West Harbour has been pulled to dry land after it started to sink at West Park Marina this morning.

One fire crew was called to help pump water from the vessel, which is operated by Belaire Ferries.

A Fire Service communications manager said the boat has been stabilised and pulled to land.

It's unclear how the boat came to take on water.
