Police have formally identified the body of a man who was found on Waiheke Island earlier this month.
He was 50-year-old Sam Hala Halagigie from Otahuhu. Police say he was not a resident of the island.
A member of the public found his body on a bush walking trail near Ocean View Road on October 1.
Police say the death is not suspicious.
