Pakuranga College's 1st XV has performed a stirring haka for a fellow student killed in a south Auckland motorcycle crash yesterday.
The video was originally posted by Pakuranga College to the school's Facebook page, and has now been shared over 160 times and has more than 1000 likes.
The year 13 student was travelling along Pakuranga Highway yesterday around 1pm when his motorcycle collided with a car.
The occupants of the car were uninjured.
The principal of the college said in a statement the male student was a very valued member of the community and very popular in the school.
"The whole school community is going to be very upset by this."
