Emergency services were called to a crash around 10am today on Paeroa-Kopu Rd, near Thames.
Four people have been taken to hospital, though it's not known how badly they are injured.
A road closure is currently in place blocking north- and south-bound lanes on Paeroa-Kopu Rd, just north of Omahu Valley Rd.
it's not known when it will re-open.
