A 20-year-old man has been charged after a 12-hour standoff with the Armed Offenders Squad in Otago yesterday.
AOS officers and a dog team were called out to Tautuku Lodge in the Catlins at 6pm last night.
Police have charged the man with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm and burglary.
He is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
