If you're dreaming of a white Christmas this year, you might not have to venture overseas.
You could be forgiven for thinking it is the start of the ski season, not summer, after looking at photos of Mt Hutt today.
MetService is predicting snow down to 1000 metres and cool southerlies for the ski field, which has recently been named New Zealand's Best Ski Resort at the Annual World Ski Awards in Austria.
Mt Hutt's wintry snap has been well-timed - coinciding with the release of its early bird season passes this afternoon.
Adult/student season passes are $299 and youth/senior season passes are $199.
