Rare birds make Christchurch city their new home

Two rare birds found in a Christchurch suburb are causing quite a stir among the city's bird watchers.

South Island Wildlife Hospital marketing and funding coordinator Angela Tranter says it is like someone calling them up saying they have found a kiwi. It is the first record of endangered Australasian bitterns known to have taken up residence in Travis Wetlands, Burwood. 3 News
