Canterbury Police have released the name of the victim of a car crash in Christchurch last night.
He was 24-year-old Nicholas Brent Morrison.
The two other occupants were taken to Christchurch Hospital at the time of the crash. The 25-year-old woman remains in a serious condition and the 24-year-old male driver has been discharged and is recovering at home.
Police investigations are continuing, but they say speed was a likely factor after the car all three were in ploughed into two parked vehicles on Wairakei Rd.
