Auckland's Pride Festival runs for the next two weeks and locals are being urged to get out and join the action.
There will be a range of events, including comedy shows, political debates and the annual parade down Ponsonby Rd.
Pride co-chairman Vinnie Sykes promises there will be something for everyone who wants to get involved.
The theme this year is storytelling, reflecting on 30 years since the Government passed homosexual law reform in 1986.
