One person is dead following a car crash in Auckland last night.
The incident happened on Mullins Rd, near Ardmore Airport, just before 10pm.
Police spokesman Ollie Nation says speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
"The road appears to have been recently sealed so it's got loose seal on it at the moment and it appears as if the vehicle has lost control and gone through a farm fence."
Emergency services report the car – which is believed to have come off the road - was the only vehicle involved.
The road has since reopened.
