Burning down a house: Returning to the scene

Last night, with immense help from the New Zealand Fire Service, Story burned a house to the ground.

It was an exercise the fire department practice regularly as part of training but we don't. It was to show you just how quickly it can happen and what you need to do to stop it from happening in your home.

Today we went back to the scene to see what went on after the cameras stopped rolling.

Heather recalls what it was like being inside the burning house where flames lit within 32 seconds while Duncan could feel the intense heat while standing outside the building.

So is there anything left and are there any special items remaining which we had in the house?
