An 18-year-old man is set to appear before the Lower Hutt District Court today, charged with dangerous driving.
It comes after Wellington police were given dashcam footage showing an impatient driver travelling up the wrong side of a busy road in the city before going the wrong way around a roundabout.
The driver had allegedly become frustrated with heavy traffic caused by an earlier incident.
Police say they were only able to catch the alleged offender because of the video footage.
Inspector Mike Wright says people should report dangerous driving by calling 111 if it's an emergency, or *555 under other circumstances.
