Is this NZ's greatest movie duo ever?

One of our most famous actors combined with our youngest rising talent -- together, could they be New Zealand's best big screen duo yet?

Sixty-eight-year-old Sam Neill and 13-year-old Julian Dennison are the stars of Taika Waititi's new film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

Based on the Barry Crump novel, the film "is like Taika's gift to New Zealand", says Neill.

The references to Kiwi pop culture while maintaining a universal storyline proved a hit when the film screened at the Sundance Festival.

It premieres in New Zealand for the first time tonight, and Kate Rodger met the two stars ahead of the screening to talk about what it was like working together.
