A rescue helicopter crew needed night vision goggles to rescue a man in critical condition from a Bay of Plenty car accident in Reporoa overnight.
The 23-year-old man's car left the road and rolled over early on Saturday evening.
Fire Service crews helped establish a landing area for the chopper, which then airlifted the man to Waikato Hospital with multiple injuries.
