The jury in the trial of the prominent New Zealander facing indecent assault charges has indicated it is having trouble reaching a unanimous verdict.
The 11-member jury has been deliberating for just under four hours now, after retiring last night.
Justice Geoffrey Venning acknowledged it is currently at a stalemate, but reminded members it is their duty to reach a unanimous verdict.
However he told the court a majority verdict would be considered later, if necessary.
"Certain circumstances allow for a majority verdict. But we are not at the stage yet where I can accept that."
The jury is continuing to deliberate and will update the judge on their progress at 12:30pm
