A man is dead after his car left the road and plunged into a gully in North Otago.
Police believe the crash happened late last night, but the vehicle was only discovered this morning.
It's understood the 47-year-old's car came off Tokarahi Duntroon Road in Waitaki, before crashing down the ravine.
The serious crash unit is investigating, and police are still notifying the victim's family and friends.
