The Police Commissioner has admitted it's too easy to access methamphetamine in New Zealand.

Mike Bush says in some parts of the country it's easier to get methamphetamine than cannabis.

"I've been told that's the case in the Far North, I was told last week it's the case in Motueka," he told Paul Henry this morning.

"That's a real concern, I'm very concerned about the availability of methamphetamine.

"We've been quite successful at closing down a number of those avenues but of course new ones pop up, but again we're in a new age," he says.
