Police are investigating after a south Auckland store attendant was left with serious facial injuries in an aggravated robbery.
The robbery happened at the Hari Superette on Puhinui Rd in the suburb of Papatoetoe on April 3, at around 5:15pm.
Police say six women entered the store and started to take items, including cigarettes and cash, while two of them closed the store by pulling the shutters down.
The store attendant was then punched and kicked, causing serious facial injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to identify those involved.
"This is absolutely appalling behaviour, and neither police or the Papatoetoe community will accept it," says Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin McNaughton.
"We ask anyone who may know who these offenders are to please come forward."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on (09) 261 1300 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
