Due to popular demand, Whittaker's Jelly Tip is back on the block.

The Kiwi classic chocolate block will hit stores on April 18 after chocolate lovers demanded a return.

"We had an overwhelmingly positive response to the Jelly Tip when we released it as a one-off limited edition block in July last year, with the product selling out within 10 days of the launch," Jasmine Currie, Whittaker's brand manager.

"Since then, Whittaker's chocolate lovers have kept asking us for more of it, so we felt it was only right to bring it back one last time."

This will be the final limited release of the product, but there will be double the amount made.

One fan was "overjoyed" to hear Jelly Tip was coming back and was planning on stocking up when it hit supermarket shelves.

The Jelly Tip block is the only Whittaker's product that includes two types of chocolate. The 250g block has Jelly Tip-flavoured jelly, encased in vanilla ice cream-flavoured Whittaker's white chocolate on a 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk chocolate base.

This gives the authentic flavour of Tip Top's classic Kiwi ice cream combined.

"We are constantly developing new chocolate flavours for our loyal customers, and it's great to surprise them with new flavours, some limited edition and some permanent to the range," Ms Currie says.

"We have more exciting new products to come."
