West Coast arson damages house and car

An investigation has been launched after a fire was deliberately set in Firth St in Cobden last night.

Police examined the scene this morning, establishing the fire was set in a vehicle around 6:15pm. The fire quickly grew and began to engulf a house nearby.

The occupants, including two young children, managed to escape unharmed but there was significant damage to both the house and car.

Police are looking for anyone with information about the fire, including people travelling near Firth St, Cobden between 6pm and 6:20pm yesterday night.
