Helen Clark has expanded her social media presence, joining the video-sharing app Snapchat.
In a post to her Facebook page yesterday, the former New Zealand Prime Minister and administrator of the UN Development Programme, says: "Guess what I just joined Snapchat! Fascinated by social media!"
The post has 8400 likes so far.
Under the name helen4sg, she has posted a picture of New York City, a meeting with the Pacific Island Ambassadors to the United Nations in New York, and meeting the Nordic Ambassadors.
Ms Clark seemed to be getting among the action, posting to her fans that she did indeed know how to screenshot, and boasted about how she had already snapped a picture of the morning in New York City.
Ms Clark has been in the third-highest UN position since 2009, and announced her candidacy for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations in April this year.
