Police are investigating after a man with a gunshot wound was admitted to Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday night.
The man had been shot in the thigh, and is in a stable condition.
Police say the circumstances surround the shooting are unclear, and they will conduct a scene examination today at a private rural address.
