A Waikato arsonist has appeared in court today after he started a fire at Fraser High School and then turned himself in to police.
Senior Sergeant Andrew Mortimore says the 39-year-old had a change of heart last night and realised the error of his ways.
"This gentleman has lit at least one small fire at the high school, he has had some issues around his actions so he has therefore decided to ring police and advise about the fire and its location," he says.
The man faces charges relating to wilfully starting a fire.
