Two in serious condition after cliff fall

The Fire Service says it was a straight-forward rescue (Newshub.)

A 16-year-old girl and a 33-year-old man are in North Shore Hospital after falling down a cliff in Devonport last night.

Police were called to North Head just before 10pm, after the pair fell around 20 metres. They were taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Assistant Fire Commander Graham Quensell says it was a straight-forward rescue that "went well".

"They're in good care now and hopefully on the way to recovery," he says.
