An 11-year-old girl is in a critical condition after a crash north of Invercargill on Saturday afternoon.
The crash at Thomsons Crossing happened shortly before 2:30pm when the girl pulled out of a paddock on a 50cc motorcycle and collided with a car on Thompsons Crossing Rd West.
She has been taken to Invercargill Hospital with serious head and leg injuries, police say.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
