A 50-year-old woman critically injured in an Invercargill shooting has now been transferred to Dunedin Hospital.
She was found with a gunshot wound on Tuesday night outside a supermarket in the Southland suburb of Otatara.
Police later discovered the body of a 29-year-old man suspected to be her shooter. It's believed his death was self-inflicted.
Fairfax has reported he was the woman's son.
