It has been a busy night for Waikato police who were called to investigate two armed robberies.
In the first case, two masked offenders pointed a pistol at a staff member at the Cock and Bull pub in Hamilton just after midnight on Monday morning, but they left with nothing.
The second incident happened only a few minutes later in Ngaruawahia at a BP petrol station, where a man threatened the attendant with a knife before making off with a small amount of money and cigarettes.
Police investigations are ongoing.
