Police have completed a search at a rural property near Acacia Bay, Taupo, after a firearms incident.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon as police prepared to execute a routine arrest warrant.
Police say as they were preparing to make the arrest, a man outside the house was seen pointing what appeared to be a firearm at the Eagle helicopter.
The armed offenders squad responded and two men from the property were taken into custody shortly after 5pm.
Police say they were the only people present at the address.
