It was a disastrous end to a driving lesson for one Hamilton couple, after the woman driving crashed the vehicle into a lake.
Video of the incident shows the red roof submerged beneath the water - and a witness has described the moment the accident occurred.
"We were at the park, and then we saw the red van go into the lake, and then there was only one person helping, so we came over here to help, but then the lady was already out," she says.
"And then the car went under really quick."
The driver was in shock, the witness said. Video shows emergency services helping the driver to the ambulance, while the police investigate the scene.
