Is vigilante justice the answer to drug-ridden towns?

Apparently there are 10 down and two P dealers remaining in the Waikato town of Ngaruawahia.

There's only one sheriff in town and he doesn't work for the police.

Jamie Pink, the leader of local gang Tribal Huk, has ruled the roost in the small town for more than half a century. You may also remember them as the Sandwich Gang who make school lunches for kids in town.

But last week, that friendly face turned into a scowl and their target was P dealers.

The leader gave methamphetamine dealers 24 hours to get out of town and now he has plans for the two who did not take the hint.

But is vigilante justice really what we want in our towns and cities?
