Smash and grab targets another Christchurch store

Police say a vehicle was driven into the front doors of a Kathmandu store in Christchurch at 4:35am this morning.

It is understood the thieves targeted a brand of down jacket which can be worth more than $600 each while the rest of the store was completely untouched.

Police say they were notified by security after 5am after an alarm was activated at the store in the city's CBD.

A forensic scene examination is being undertaken today.

The ram-raid comes just weeks after another Christchurch store was hit in an early morning heist that left a path destruction in their wake.
