When Ruby put out a call on Facebook asking for help, she certainly wasn't expecting the reply she received.
She had a housing crisis - she and her flatmates had some damage to their Christchurch home that needed fixing.
With a lack of DIY skills and even less money, the flat turned to social media. They posted a sad photo and a cheeky call for help and were stunned at the response.
The pair that came to the rescue was none other than New Zealand's own champion DIY team, who, being former students and long-time flatmates themselves, had some prior experience.
