One of six people charged after a young woman was found dumped on a road north of Auckland has pleaded guilty to kidnapping.
Jaclyn Keates appeared in the High Court at Auckland on Wednesday, where she admitted to charges of unlawfully detaining and assaulting a 19-year-old woman.
The charges arose after the victim was found bound and unconscious on a highway by a member of the public in June in the Dome Valley, and was flown to Auckland Hospital in critical condition.
An earlier charge of sexual violation against Keates was withdrawn by prosecutors.
She will be sentenced in December.
Five other people have pleaded not guilty over the incident and are due to stand trial in February.
The two men and three women face various charges, including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, kidnapping, sexual violation and aggravated robbery.
